Welcome to Johar Town
Well here we are, in the middle of nowhere on an island within an island. This is called Johar Town. Its a town within a city. Not far away from Thokar Niaz Baig where I spent 2 years of my life walking to Raiwind every day. Here is my new office in my old company. On the second floor of a ‘business center’.
I took the bus to work today like I usually do except this time I had to take two buses and it took a little more than an hour. Back in Davis Road it was a 45 minutes commute. Now its around 20 min. more. Fares have also sky rocketed. Rs. 50 just to get to work every day. But since I don’t have private transportation I will have to make do with the public one. 2 Hours 20 minutes every day spent on the road. Time wasted.
